Statement
Raised in a Korean household in America, I am drawn to exploring the dissonance that emerges from conflicting cultural viewpoints shaped by history, education, and identity. Through diverse media from video to sculpture, my work investigates the struggle of locating myself within this cultural gap by repurposing existing documents or creating original visual narratives. I aim to inquire into the vulnerability of the viewer's subjectivity when confronted with the tension of multiple, coexisting perspectives.
